Never Lose Your Childlike Wonder

Dakyum Breanna Lee is a youth writer and movie director who strives to restore and protect the childhood dreams of people all around the world. Dakyum won the 2022 Achievement Awards in Writing (AAW) as one of the two international winners and various other writing awards. She is a leader and Art Director of GetCool Magazine and a children's book translator at Africa Asia Development Relief Foundation (ADRF). 

 

Dakyum’s series of “Childhood” projects (Wings, A Short Film Project, Graduation Childhood Relief, and a Raxip Studio Exhibition) are designed to make people acknowledge the importance of their childhood dreams. 

Childhood is not only a time that is experienced at an early age but a lens that shows what we cherished and pursued when we were free of society’s stereotypes and standards. In a world where comparison is accentuated by social media, the key to loving oneself is to remind oneself of their undiluted nature and see how their intact passion and love of life could shine so brightly. My goal today is to make people remember who they were and still are by reminiscing their childhood dreams.
